Fast and reliable, but no deals or bonus offered after our contract ran out which means we are switching to another company.

Horrible experience. Requested to connect me to Orcon Fibre. After a week of waiting was contacted by Fibre installation team, who came over to make a pre installation check, approve works with me and neighbors and said me to wait (today is one month of waiting). After another week and calls to Orcon from my side, Orcon finally sent me a modem and connected to ADSL while I am waiting for a Fibre and already charged me for two months of using, though they promised to provide a ...read more

We were on the Unlimited Naked ADSL plan. Internet access was quite patchy and unreliable, cutting off randomly quite frequently. Not sure if this had much to do with Orcon or the ADSL cables near our property, but we are in quite a reasonably affluent, built-up area. Their billing site was easy-to-use and bills usually came through on time. Easy-to-use website. Easy, reliable billing. Well-priced. Lots of options.
Not the best customer service. Internet was not at all reliable throughout the 14 months we were with them. Ended up switching.

I been with Orcon for a while now (I think about five years) and found them to be very good. Most of their call centre staff appear to be outside New Zealand, but they are friendly efficient and competent.
Very speedy response to enquiries. I don't think I've ever spent more than a couple of minutes waiting for my call to be answered. The call centre staff are also very well trained.
I can't really think of anything.

I had a contract for 12 months, with the first three months free. They didn't follow their promises and took money for the first month. I called them, they said that they will not get money in later months. I was suspecting if they could just charge me all the months if I have not called them. Later I move to another apartment and asked them to move my plan. They agreed and later emailed me that I have agreed that the contract will renew for another 12 months, which I didn't. ...read more

We were on unlimited, they switched us with out notification to limited data, sent a huge bill and an email saying they are switching all their customers to unlimited and we must be so happy. Spent hours on the phone with no luck and had to pay the bill.
Quite reliable internet
Never tell you about surprises in your bills, dont trust them with direct debit!
