Vodafone are the second largest broadband provider in New Zealand. As one of the largest broadband providers in the country, Vodafone offer a broad range of plans with a variety of features and benefits to suit their customers – unlimited or capped plans, rural broadband plan, Fibre, VDSL or ADSL.

Vodafone offer some great value broadband plans and have a great reputation. The Vodafone Always Connected Promise applies to your home, fixed line, and broadband connection. If your home broadband stops working, the Vodafone service team will do their best to fix it straight away. If they can’t Customer Care will add enough mobile data to an eligible Vodafone mobile, so you can stay connected while they get it sorted.

Vodafone offer discounts if you bundle your mobile and broadband with them. Fridays will be your favourite day of the week with their Fantastic Friday offers and discounts, like cheap movie tickets, music and sport ticket and more. Vodafone Ninjas are available in store, online or on the phone to help with any technical questions

Apart from their dodgy attempt to brand fibre plus coax as FibreX, the worst thing about Vodafone was the way they treat their customers. It was a huge inconvenience when they unilaterally decided to stop their email services, and even more frustrating when they reneged on their promise to redirect our old address to the new one. Add that to the fact that they repeatedly failed to report their internet outages on their website, resulting in many hours wasted waiting for their help desk then trying to fix a problem at our end, when it was a known problem at their end the whole time (though not known by their help desk for some reason). ...read more

Started off happy with VF tho they could never fix my personal login to work properly. Had to use codes ever since.
Then upgrades were always based on a 2 year contract. Really! No one else is pushing 2 years.
Then the system went down and I had to call them for a refund. So much for customer service.
I logged in to organise a contract review and they rang back and then cut me off. End!

Tried to set up a fast broadband connection for a new house at the same address. Person in the VF shop was very helpful. Unfortunately the VF systems let down the whole experience. Instead of setting up a new fibre connection to the new house, they disconnected the existing connection and left us without internet. The people who answer the phone at the VF helpdesk were not particularly helpful. Ended up cancelling the order and now have to get Voyager to fix up VF's screw up. Will be signing up with Voyager for the new house even though they are slightly more expensive. ...read more
VF shop people very friendly. Other than that hard to say as we never got a connection
Backend support teams are completely useless. Disconnected our previous supplier at 5PM and then couldn't reconnect us as it was out of business hours.

Having been a long term customer of Vodafone broadband , didn’t really feel they were looking after us. New deals not open to existing customers. Despite always saying we wouldn’t and don’t sign up to things at our front door - we still get knocks from Vodafone the fact they these people are probably third party contractors is not an excuse. I have given the “retention customer” service something a request to review our current deal - still waiting. Result we have changed provider.
