Naked broadband plans
Unlimited naked broadband. Sound good? If that’s what you’re after, you’ve come to the right place. At Bigpipe, we do just broadband. Fast, unlimited broadband internet in a variety of flavours starting with cheaper, accessible ADSL, to faster VDSL, and all the way through to ultra-fast fibre broadband. No data caps, no throttling, and great online service. So if you’re after naked broadband internet with no data caps – get Bipgipe. It’s internet the way it should be.
At Bigpipe, we won't try to sell you a landline that you don't want or need. Some other internet providers only sell bundled packages, but we’re just a broadband provider – and we do our broadband naked and unlimited, the way it should be. You can always get a landline from someone else, but if you want pure, unlimited, cheap broadband then we should talk.
Naked ADSL and VDSL
Our entry level ADSL plans are great for home users who want fast and unlimited broadband, but don’t need the higher download speeds required for full-on online gaming and live streaming. Our mid-level VDSL plan is where you start to experience some really serious speed, and it is great for gaming and live streaming, not to mention that it is also unlimited like all our naked broadband plans, which means no data caps (for real!).
If you live on the internet and only the fastest connection will do, then you’ve got to try our naked UFB plans. Download speeds up to 900 Mbps and upload speeds up to 500 Mbps depending on which plan you choose - it doesn’t get any faster than this. Once you have experienced the joy of an un-capped, ultra-fast fibre broadband connection you’ll never want to go back. UFB is being rolled out around the country and you can enter your address in the form above to check availability – we’d love to have you on board!

Unfortunately Bigpipe started off awesomely but for what ever reason Spark have folded it into their normal regime of poor support and performance. They were a top performer a couple of years ago, but these days support is level 1, slow and pointless. Their pricing has also been unable to compete with other providers plans. Typical Spark - produce a good product then let it rot.
Give it a miss and try to find a Kiwi owned brand.
Bigpipe no longer has any positives, it's pricing means it's no longer competitive.
Support has been rolled into the Skinny/Spark helpdesk = poor experience.
Pricing is not competitive.
Service side outages have increased.

Terrible speeds, slow all the time with high ping.
They said that it could be slow at peak times, but never had slowdowns at peak times with other providers
Didn't have any issues with the network going down
Slow internet all the time (even at "off peak" times and we're paying for fibre)

I'm not good with technology so broadband compare were a great help, hooked up with bigpipe on the same day, I'm on a budget so I found bigpipe best for me and still have unlimited WiFi :-)

Great help. Easy to deal with. Great prices

Fantastic ISP, best price and with no contract term. Really helpful and pleasant email based support.

Extremely difficult to get support - compounded by poor mobile data reception at the address in question, effectively meant each email conversation took a day to have. Sux

They advertised 100 Mbps speed, but to date the highest speed I have seen is 25 Mbps with the average speed of 12.96 Mbps. They do not have any techs nor software to run diagnostics and rely on the customer to spend time running the tests for them. I have complained numerous times to them, but they are unable and unwilling to fix my problem.
No Network Operations Center. They are unable to troubleshoot any problems.

Unfortunately they did not accept AMEX, so swapping to Orcon who do.

We used ADSL as a temporary option while waiting for our Fibre to set up. However, it took us almost 3 months of rescheduling and in the end we just gave up.
There was a bit of drama when cancellig our fibre installation, we were promised that we can cancel and not get charged by the early termination fee. But then, they say they will charge us. When we tell them that we were promised by another agent with a reference number, they keep on mentioning that its part of the T&C. ...read more
